<ul> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Drugs that inhibit the P450 isoenzyme activity may decrease metabolism and increase Imatinib concentrations.(e.g., ketoconazole,  itraconazole, erythromycin, …)</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Drugs that are inducers of  the P450 isoenzyme activity may increase metabolism and decrease  Imatinib plasma concentrations.(e.g., Dexamethasone, phenytoin, Carbamazepine, …)</li> </ul>

<p style=\"text-align: left;\">   It is not recommended because many drugs are excreted in human milk and because of the potential for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants, women should be advised against breastfeeding while taking this drug.</p>

<ul> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This drug often associated with edema and occasionally serious fluid retention .patients should be weighed and monitored regularly for signs and symptoms of fluid retention.</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">An unexpected rapid weight gain should be carefully investigated and appropriate treatment provided.</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Complete blood counts should be performed weekly for the first month , biweekly for the second month, and periodically thereafter as clinically indicated (for example every 2-3 months).</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Hepatotoxicity, occasionally severe, may occur with this drug therefore Liver function should be monitored before initiation of treatment and monthly.</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This drug should be administered with a meal and a large glass of water because of digestive disorders.</li> </ul>

<ul> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The recommended dosage of this drug is 400 mg/day for patients in chronic phase CML and 600 mg/day for patients in accelerated phase or blast crisis</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This drug should be administered orally</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This drug should be administered with a meal and a large glass of water</li> <li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Treatment should be continued as long as the patient continues to benefit</li> </ul>
