<ul> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Diarrhea; headache; nausea; symptoms of upper respiratory infection (eg, cough, runny or stuffy nose; sneezing; sore throat); upset stomach.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing or swallowing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, throat, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); decreased urination; red, blistered, swollen, or peeling skin; symptoms of pancreas inflammation (eg, severe stomach or back pain with or without nausea or vomiting).</li> </ul>

<p style=\"text-align: left;\">  Digoxin, insulin, meglitinides (eg, repaglinide), or sulfonylureas (eg, glipizide) because the risk of their side effects may be increased by sitagliptin.</p>

<ul> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">100 mg once daily as monotherapy or as combination therapy.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Sitagliptin can be taken with or without meal.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Take sitagliptin on a regular schedule to get the most benefit from it.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Continue to take sitagliptin even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses</li> </ul>

<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Sitagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor that is believed to exert its actions in patients with type 2 diabetes by slowing the inactivation of incretin hormones.</p>
