<ul> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Taking alendronate with calcium and other metal ion containing supplements- ranitidine- antacids- salysilates</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Concurrent use of this medicine with coffee or orange juice or meal will result in 60% reduction in its bioavailability.</li> </ul>

<ul> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Symptoms of esophageal inflammation and ulcer. </li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Hypocalcaemia and vitamin D deficiency must be treated prior to treatment with alendronate sodium.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Alendronate sodium is not recommended for patients with severe kidney dysfunction.</li> </ul>

Administration and Dosage{}{}{}
<ul> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Alendronate must be used exactly as prescribed by your physician. However, the usual dose is as follows:</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Treatment of osteoporosis in menopausal women: one 70-mg tablet per week.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Treatment of osteoporosis in men: one 70-mg tablet per week.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Paget disease: 40 mg per once a day for 6 months.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Take the tablet with a full glass of water (180 to 240 ml) after waking up in the morning, at least half an hour before breakfast or before taking other medicines.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking the medicine.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">To facilitate entry of the tablet into the stomach, take it with full glass water.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Do not take the medicine before sleeping.</li> <li style=\"text-align: left;\">Do not eat breakfast for 30 minutes after taking the tablet.</li> </ul>
